The city is outgrowing solutions such as adding more freeway lanes or adding traditional mass transit. Sugar Land is partnering with Swyft Cities to explore implementing Whoosh® transportation technology.

City of Sugar Land, a fast-growing Houston suburb, is partnering with Swyft Cities to explore implementing Whoosh® transportation technology. An engineering schematic study is being conducted to look at potential routes and stations. The city is exploring public-private partnerships and federal grants to minimize burdens on local residents.
