Sugar Land is partnering with Swyft Cities to explore implementing Whoosh® transportation technology.

City of Sugar Land, a fast-growing Houston suburb, is partnering with Swyft Cities to explore implementing Whoosh® transportation technology. An engineering schematic study is being conducted to look at potential routes and stations. The city is exploring public-private partnerships and federal grants to minimize burdens on local residents.

Five Dallas-area cities have submitted proposed sites to Swyft Cities for Whoosh® autonomous elevated cable-and-rail systems. Dallas, Plano, Arlington, Frisco and DeSoto are looking to relieve traffic congestion and improve mobility in one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country
